Objects to the proposed boundary of Hunua on the grounds that it does not give due consideration to the future demographic profiles of the proposed Port Waikato and Hunua Electorates; of projected variations in electoral populations with Hunua’s growing population and Port Waikato remaining static.
Suggested solution To include Clarks Beach and rural Kingseat west of Kingseat Road in the proposed Port Waikato Electorate.
20 003 b Objection K Brent-Edmondson
Objects to the inclusion of East Tamaki Heights (area clustered around Kilkenny Road and east of Ti Rakau Drive) in the proposed Hunua Electorate on the grounds community interests are with Howick in the Manukau East Electorate.
Suggested solution The area of East Tamaki Heights should be included in the proposed Manukau East Electorate.

Objects to the inclusion of the Papakura District in the proposed Hunua Electorate on the grounds that Papakura’s community of interest is with urban Auckland and Hunua’s community of interest is more with Pukekohe. The changes would also see greater account taken of the projected population growth in the area.
Suggested solution Transfer the Papakura District to a new Papakura Electorate including all of the Franklin District in the proposed Hunua Electorate.
Objects to the name of the proposed Hunua Electorate on the grounds that other proposed changes will alter the composition of the electorate to include all of the Franklin District and none of the Papakura District.
Suggested solution Change the name to Franklin.
