Aggregate limit - Grey, Shoveler and Mallard duck; a maximum of 20 birds for any one species or a total bag not exceeding 20 birds for all species combined.
Paradise Shelduck 2 May to 26 July 1998 incl. 20
27 February to 28 February 1999 incl. 20
whole of region except Jack Bisset wetlands
Black Swan 2 May to 28 June 1998 incl. 5
Canada Geese 2 May to 28 June 1998 incl. 1
Pukeko 2 May to 30 August 1998 incl. 10
California Quail 2 May to 30 August 1998 incl. no limit
Brown Quail 2 May to 30 August 1998 incl. no limit
Cock pheasant 2 May to 26 July 1998 incl. 5

Shooting hours: 6.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m except that for the hunting of Paradise Shelduck on 20 and 21 February 1999, shooting hours will be from 6.00 a.m to 9.00 p.m.

Decoy limit: No limit.

Special Condition

  1. No persons shall willfully leave on the hunting ground any game bird(s) shot or parts of any game bird(s) shot.
