852 NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE No. 36

(a) Three shot

From 2 May 1998 and for the duration of the 1998 game season, persons[^6] may hunt or kill all game bird within the following Fish & Game regions with any shotgun of a calibre 12 gauge or less having a magazine of any type adjusted in accordance with regulations made under this Act, and capable of holding no more than two shells:

Fish and Game Regions:
Auckland/Waikato
Hawke’s Bay

(b) Five shot - Canada goose only - Auckland/Waikato

Persons[^7] may hunt or kill Canada geese within the Auckland/Waikato Fish and Game region with any shotgun of a calibre 12 gauge or less having a magazine of any type adjusted in accordance with regulations made under this Act, and capable of holding no more than four shells, during the following periods:

7.00pm 8 May 1998 to 11.45pm 14 May 1998
7.00pm 6 June 1998 to 11.45pm 12 June 1998
7.00pm 4 July 1998 to 11.45pm 22 July 1998 (subject to public notification of this season)

Persons[^8] may hunt or kill Canada geese within the Auckland/Waikato Fish and Game region with any shotgun of a calibre 10 gauge or less having a magazine of any type adjusted in accordance with regulations made under this Act, and capable of holding no more than four shells, during the following period:

7.00pm 4 July 1998 to 11.45pm 22 July 1998 (subject to public notification of this season)

(d) Two shot - all game - Eastern

From 2 May 1998 persons[^7] may hunt or kill all game bird within the Eastern Fish and Game region with any shotgun of a calibre 12 gauge or less having a magazine of any type adjusted in accordance with regulations made under this Act, and capable of holding no more than two shells, provided that a shotgun with its magazine so adjusted will at any time hold no more than two shells.

(Explanatory note: While the magazine adjustment enables a magazine shotgun to hold three shells, no person can have three shells in the shotgun at any one time.)

Camouflaged Rowboats

Persons[^9] may hunt or kill game within the following Fish and Game Regions, from unmoored camouflaged rowboats, subject to the conditions specified below.
