2. Duration of the Trial

The period of the School Crossing Point Trial shall start after the 12th day of December 1996 and shall end on the 31st day of December 2000 unless otherwise notified in the Gazette. The School Crossing Point Trial shall apply to all signs and markings as specified in this Schedule.

Exemption From Specified Requirements of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990

Pursuant to regulation 36 of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990, I, John Richard Wolf, Vehicle Compliance Officer, hereby exempt the motor vehicle specified in Schedule 1 of this notice from the requirements of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990 listed in Schedule 2, subject to the conditions specified in Schedule 3.

(iii) This exemption may be revoked at any time;

(iv) A copy of this notice must be carried in the vehicle at all times and be readily available for inspection.

Forest and Rural Fires Act 1977

Pouto Rural Fire District Notice 1998

Pursuant to the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1977, the National Rural Fire Authority hereby makes the following notice:

Notice

1. (1) This notice may be cited as the Pouto Rural Fire District Notice 1976, Amendment No. 5 and shall be read with and deemed part of the notice constituting the Pouto Rural Fire District Order 1976 made on the 20th day of December 1976 (a) (hereinafter referred to as the principal notice).

   (2) This notice shall come into force on the 28th day after its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

2. The principal notice is hereby amended by revoking clause 6 of the principal notice as substituted by the Pouto Rural Fire District Notice 1976, Amendment No. 4 and substituting the following clause:

   '6. (1) The district shall be administered for the purpose of the Act by a rural fire committee known as the Pouto Rural Fire Committee.

   (2) The Pouto Rural Fire Committee shall consist of 6 members as follows:

   (a) One person appointed, in writing, by Evergreen Forests Limited and signed on behalf of that company by one director and the secretary thereof;

   (b) One person appointed, in writing, by Tai Tokerau Forests Limited and signed on behalf of that company by one director and the secretary thereof;

   (c) One person appointed, in writing, by Rayonier New Zealand Limited and signed on behalf of that company by one director and the secretary thereof;

   (d) One person appointed, in writing, by the Director General of the Department of Conservation;

   (e) One person appointed, in writing, by the Director-General of Agriculture and Forestry;

   (f) One person residing in the district and appointed, in writing, by the Kaipara District Council.

   (3) This clause shall be read together with and be deemed to be part of the principal notice.'
