Notice of Approval of a Statement of Preferred Work Practices Under the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992

Code of Practice for Passenger Ropeways in New Zealand

Pursuant to section 20 (3) of the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992, whereas subsections (3) (a) and (3) (b) of section 20 of that Act have been fulfilled and complied with, the Minister for Enterprise and Commerce hereby gives notice that he approves a statement of preferred work practices or arrangements for health and safety in design, manufacturing, operation, maintenance and servicing of passenger ropeways’ installations under the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992, entitled “Code of Practice for Passenger Ropeways in New Zealand”.

These preferred work practices or arrangements are designed to describe the general health and safety provisions for the management of passenger ropeways’ installations and for the protection of employees and others.
