Electoral Act 1993

Cancellations of Registration of Political Party and Registration of Party Logo

  1. Pursuant to Part IV of the Electoral Act 1993, the Electoral Commission resolved on 9 October 1998 to remove the New Zealand Conservative Party from the Register of Political Parties maintained by the Electoral Commission, pursuant to section 62 of the Electoral Act 1993.

  2. Pursuant to Part IV of the Electoral Act 1993, the Electoral Commission resolved on 9 October 1998 to cancel the registration of the logo for the New Zealand Conservative Party and to remove from the Register of Political Parties maintained by the Electoral Commission, pursuant to section 62 of the Electoral Act 1993, the record of the registration of that logo.

Traffic Regulations 1976

Exemption From Specified Lighting Requirements of the Traffic Regulations 1976

Pursuant to regulation 90 (1) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, I, Jörg Simon Mager, Senior Engineer, hereby exempt motor vehicles of Classes MA, MB, MC, MD1, MD2 and NA from the requirements specified in Schedule 1, subject to the conditions specified in Schedule 2.

Schedule 1

Exempted Requirements

The requirements relating to visibility angles prescribed by the following regulations of the Traffic Regulations 1976:

  • Regulation 59 (3) (b) concerning: Forward-facing side lamps
  • Regulation 60 (2) (c) Rearward-facing side lamps
  • Regulation 61 (2) (b) Stop lamps
  • Regulation 63 (2) (c) Direction-indicator lamps

Schedule 2

Conditions

(i) This exemption relates only to the visibility angles prescribed by the regulations specified in Schedule 1 and does not exempt from any other requirements prescribed by these regulations;

(ii) This exemption only applies to vehicles where the lamps and their mounting locations are the vehicle manufacturers’ original equipment specification;

(iii) This exemption does not apply to vehicles that were modified from their state when manufactured if the modifications resulted in a reduction of the visibility angles prescribed by the regulations specified in Schedule 1;

(iv) This exemption does not apply to scratch-built low volume vehicles;

(v) This exemption only applies to vehicles that comply with all applicable requirements of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990;

(vi) This exemption may be revoked at any time.

Exemption From Specified Requirements of the Traffic Regulations 1976

Pursuant to regulation 90 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, I, Peter Waring, Senior Policy Engineer, hereby exempt the motor vehicle specified in Schedule 1 of this notice from the requirements contained within regulations 58 (1) and 78A (a) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, subject to the conditions specified within Schedule 2 of this notice.

Schedule 2

Conditions

  1. A lap belt manufactured to an approved standard is fitted to the driver’s seat position.

  2. The single headlamp fitted to these vehicles must comply with all other requirements of regulation 58 where appropriate.

  3. These vehicles are fitted with side lamp’s which indicate the vehicles width.

  4. This exemption may be revoked at any time.

  5. A copy of this notice must be carried in the vehicle at all times and be readily available for inspection.
