This notice concerns land at 88 Pilkington Road, Panmure, Auckland and Maori claims under the Treaty of Waitangi Act 1975.
The land at 88 Pilkington Road, Panmure, Auckland, is described in legal terms as an estate in fee simple in all that parcel of land containing 1338 square metres, more or less, being Allotment 35, Section 3, Small Lots near Village of Panmure and being part Block II, Otahuhu Survey District and being all the land comprised in certificate of title 87A/205 (North Auckland Registry).
The land was once owned by the Crown. It was transferred to a State-Owned Enterprise under the State-Owned Enterprises Act 1986.
There is a special notice or “memorial” on the certificate of title for the land which provides that, if the Waitangi Tribunal recommends it, the land shall be resumed by the Crown and returned to Maori ownership (see sections 27A and 27B of the State-Owned Enterprises Act 1986).
The current owners of the land, ROBERT VERNON MURRAY, JOHN LUTHER MURRAY and BRUCE REGINALD SIMPSON have applied to the Waitangi Tribunal to have the notice removed. The application has been made under section 8D of the Treaty of Waitangi Act 1975.
ANY MAORI PERSON WHO CONSIDERS THAT THEY, OR ANY GROUP WHICH THEY BELONG TO, HAS A CLAIM TO MAKE TO THE WAITANGI TRIBUNAL ABOUT THIS LAND SHOULD SUBMIT THEIR CLAIM TO THE WAITANGI TRIBUNAL BEFORE THE 30TH DAY OF DECEMBER 1998.
Section 6 of the Treaty of Waitangi Act 1975, describes what a claim is. Claims may be posted or sent to the Registrar, Waitangi Tribunal, Seabridge House, 110 Featherston Street (P.O. Box 5022), Wellington.
If no claim about this land is made to the Waitangi Tribunal before the 30th day of December 1998, then the Tribunal may recommend that the land no longer be liable to be resumed by the Crown and returned to Maori ownership under section 27B of the State-Owned Enterprises Act 1986.

Notice is hereby given under the Pharmacy Act 1970 and the Pharmacy Regulations 1975, that an election of members of the Council of the Pharmaceutical Society of New Zealand will be held in the month of November 1998.
Nominations of candidates, on the prescribed form, will close with the Registrar of the Pharmaceutical Society at 4.00 p.m., Monday, 2 November 1998. Should a poll be required, voting papers must be returned to the Registrar on or before 4.00 p.m. on Monday, 23 November 1998.
The place for receiving nominations of candidates and voting papers relating to such candidates is the office of the Registrar, Pharmaceutical Society of New Zealand, Pharmacy House, 124 Dixon Street (P.O. Box 116-40), Wellington.
