Civil Aviation Act 1990
Notice of Granting of an Open Aviation Market Licence and Variation of a Scheduled International Air Service Licence
Pursuant to sections 87U (4) and 87Q (4) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990 and a delegation from the Secretary for Transport dated 28 August 1996, I give notice that, having received an application from Malaysia Airline System Berhad, of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, I have:
(a) granted that airline an open aviation market licence to carry on scheduled services and non-scheduled flights in accordance with the 16 June 1998 Air Services Agreement Between the Government of New Zealand and the Government of Malaysia, for an indefinite term with effect from 1 October 1998; and
(b) varied the scheduled international air service licence granted to the airline to provide for that licence to expire on 30 September 1998.

Airworthiness Directive
Pursuant to section 72I (3) (a) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, and to a delegation from the Director of Civil Aviation, I, Geoffrey Neil Connor, Safety Analyst - Continuing Airworthiness, hereby issue the following airworthiness directive:

This airworthiness directive shall come into force on 1 October 1998.

The Board of the Education and Training Support Agency, pursuant to section 9 (3) (a) of the Industry Training Act 1992, hereby gives notice that on Monday, the 21st day of September 1998, recognition of the New Zealand Leather and Shoe Research Association Incorporated as an Industry Training Organisation was cancelled at the request of the New Zealand Leather and Shoe Research Association Incorporated with effect from the 21st day of September 1998.

The Board of the Education and Training Support Agency, pursuant to section 5 of the Industry Training Act 1992, hereby gives notice that on Monday, the 21st day of September 1998, the Leather Industry Training Organisation Incorporated, was granted full recognition as an Industry Training Organisation for the Manufacturing Leather (excluding Fellmongery) and the Footwear Manufacturing Industries, with effect from the 21st day of September 1998.
It will set standards on the National Qualifications Framework in the above areas:
