ii) Two-point lap seat belts that comply with the appropriate vehicle standard are fitted in the rear outboard sitting positions;
iii) All seat belts must be securely anchored to the vehicle and seat belt anchorages that are not the vehicle manufacturer’s original equipment must comply with Specification St120395;
iv) This exemption may be revoked at any time;
v) A copy of this notice must be carried in the vehicle at all times and be readily available for inspection.

Notification of Maritime Rules—Part 48
Pursuant to section 448 of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, notification is hereby given of the making of the following maritime rules
Part 48—Tonnage Measurement
Part 48 of the maritime rules shall come into force 28 days after the date of this notification in the New Zealand Gazette.
Part 48 of the maritime rules is available for inspection at the Head Office of the Maritime Safety Authority of New Zealand, Level Eight, AMP House, 109 Featherston Street, Wellington, and for purchase from Publishing Solutions Limited, P.O. Box 983, Wellington 6015.

Declaration Under the Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection Act 1996
Whereas, pursuant to section 441 of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, the Minister of Transport did delegate those powers under section 12 (6) of the Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection Act 1996 to the Maritime Safety Authority by an Instrument of Delegation dated 19 March 1997.
And whereas, pursuant to section 442 of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, the Maritime Safety Authority did delegate those powers under section 12 (6) of the Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection Act 1996 to the Director of Maritime Safety by an Instrument of Delegation dated 26 March 1997.
And whereas, pursuant to section 443 of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, the Director of Maritime Safety did delegate those powers under section 12 (6) of the Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection Act 1996 to me by an Instrument of Delegation dated 26 March 1997.
Therefore I, John Norman Keith Mansell, Divisional Manager, Maritime Operations, hereby make the following declaration:
Declaration
The Order in Council under section 12 of the Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection Act 1996, entitled the Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection Order 1992, shall not apply in respect of the following ship:
Tangaroa
and workboats, zodiacs and small craft associated with that ship whilst working in the protected area designated “Area 7-Cook Strait” for geological research purposes under the control of NIWA (National Institute of Water & Atmospheric Research Limited) and with the conditional written approval of Transpower New Zealand Limited for the period from 1 to 20 November 1998.
This notice comes into effect on and from the 18th day of September 1998.

Notice of Approval to Act as Trustee Under Section 48 of the Securities Act 1978
Pursuant to section 48 of the Securities Act 1978, the Securities Commission approves Guardian Trust Australia Limited (“the company”) to act as a trustee for the purposes of the Securities Act 1978, in respect of capital bonds (“the securities”) to be issued by Capital Properties New Zealand Finance Limited.
This approval is subject to the condition that The New Zealand Guardian Trust Company Limited acts with the company as a co-trustee in respect of the securities.
