All waters flowing into Lakes Te Anau, Manapouri, Monowai, Hauroko and Poteriteri excluding those specified in Section 7 of this Schedule and the Mararoa River downstream of the Key Bridge.

  1. USE OF BOATS

7.1.
No person shall fish from any boat other than a row boat in Lake Thomas.

7.2.
No licence holder shall fish from any boat or launch in that part of Lake Waituna which lies on the seaward side of a line between two white signposts indicating the restriction sited on directly opposite shores near what is the outlet channel when the channel is open to the sea.

7.3.
No licence holder shall fish from any boat, canoe, pontoon, or any form of flotation device in:
the Mataura River upstream from the Mataura Island bridge
the Waikaia River
the Mararoa River
the Oreti River upstream of the SH94 bridge just north of Lumsden
the Eglinton River
the Waiau River from the confluence of the Monowai River to the Mararoa Weir.

  1. DAILY LIMIT BAGS

8.1 Catch and Release zones
Trout or salmon taken within the described experimental Catch and Release zones shall be immediately released with as little injury as possible back into the water from which it had been taken. No licence holder shall kill or possess sports fish taken from the following catch and release zones.

Oreti River and tributaries from the headwaters to the downstream limit of the “walk only zone” at map ref NZMS 260 D43 294185.
Mataura River and tributaries upstream of the road bridge at Garston.

8.2 Other waters

8.2.1
No licence holder shall on any one day kill or be in possession of more than 6 trout from one or more of the following waters:

Mataura River from the bridge on SH6 (Black bridge), 3 km north of Athol, to the sea;
Waikaia River downstream from the Glenary bridge on the Waikaia-Piano Flat road;
Oreti River from Rocky Point to the sea;
Aparima River from its confluence with the Hamilton Burn to the sea;
Waihopai River from the Mararoa Weir to the sea;
Makarewa River from its confluence with the Otaipiri Stream to its confluence with the Oreti River;
Pourakino River and its tributaries
All those waters draining to the sea between Fortrose and The Brothers Point.

8.2.2
No licence holder shall in any one day kill or be in possession of more than two trout from one or more of the following waters, including their tributaries

All rivers and streams flowing into Lakes Te Anau, Manapouri, Monowai, Hauroko, and Hankinson, except for the upper Waiau and the Mararoa River downstream of the SH94 bridge at The Key;
Oreti River upstream of Rocky Point;
Mararoa River upstream of the SH94 bridge at The Key including the Mavora Lakes;
Whitestone River;
