8. DAILY LIMIT BAG

8.1 Notwithstanding anything contained in First Schedule, except in the case of perch for which there is no daily limit and trout from Lake Onslow, McKellar and Sylvan for which there is no bag limit, no person shall on any one day take and kill or be in possession of more than the prescribed daily limit from the following specified waters:

8.2 Catch and release zones: (Daily limit : Nil. ). Sports fish caught within these waters must be immediately released into the water from which it has been taken.
Lochy River special catch and release zone (being that portion of the river from its source to its confluence with the Longburn and including the Longburn Routeburn River.

8.3 No more than one sports fish per day:
Rivers and tributaries flowing into any of the Lakes Hawea; Wanaka; and Wakatipu, (but excluding the special catch and release zones);
Upper Fraser River; Sullivans Dam;
Nevis River; Tomahawk Lagoon Upper:
Southern Reservoir; Von Lake:

8.4 No more than three sports fish per day:
Blakelys Dam; Lake Kirkpatrick;
Coalpit Dam; Mathias Dam;
Diamond Lake; Pomahaka River upstream from Park Hill Bridge;
Hoffmans Dam; Reid Lake;
Lake Johnson: Rutherfords Dam;

8.5 No more than two salmon.
Elsewhere in Otago Region other than 8.1, 8.2, 8.3, and 8.4 and all waters below the Roxburgh Dam and all waters running into the sea.

8.6 Subject to the restrictions set out in 8.1 above, no person shall on any one day take or kill or be in possession of more than six sports fish per day.

9. FISH LENGTH

9.1 No person shall take or be in possession of any trout or salmon which does not exceed in length-
(a) In the case of any trout taken from the Water of Leith and Teviot River, 200 mm.
(b) In the case of trout taken from any other water, 250 mm.
(c) In the case of salmon taken from the Clutha River or its tributaries above the Roxburgh Dam 250 mm.
(d) In the case of salmon taken from any other waters, 450 mm.
(e) In the case of trout for Lakes Onslow, McKeller and Sylvan, no size limit.
(f) In the case of perch, no size limit.

9.2 In no limit areas, all fish take must be removed from the lake margins.
