a) From the State Highway 2 bridge downstream to the first overhead power cables downstream of Rathbone Street;

b) Downstream from the first overhead power cables downstream of Rathbone Street, excluding tributaries;
1 October - 30 April, and
1 June - 30 September
The Waipunga River upstream to the falls, excluding tributaries;
all year
Lake Te Pohue north of the two signposts on the south side;
all year
The larger of the two lakes, known as Twin Lakes, at Kuripapango
all year
Lakes Tutira and Waikopiro, except Sandy Creek and the inlet and outlet streams;
all year
Lake Opouahi;
all year
Lake Orakai;
all year
All other lakes of the region;
1 October - 30 April, and
1 June - 30 September
All other waters;

- AUTHORISED TACKLE
No licence holder, when fishing for sportsfish, shall use:
2.1 More than two lures.
2.2 Any lead or weight attached below or so as to hang below any lure or bait.
2.3 Any bait or lure treated with any chemical preparation other than that used solely to give buoyancy to an artificial fly.
2.4 Any hook which has a gape greater than 14mm between the point and the nearest part of the shank.
2.5 Any lure having more than one hook or having a multiple hook, or any fixed assembly of hooks.

FISH ATTRACTANTS PROHIBITED
No licence holder shall fish any water into which any ground bait, berley or other fish attractant has been placed. -
FLY FISHING ONLY WATERS
Only artificial fly may be used in the following waters and their tributaries:
Cochranes Creek
Hautapu River
Mangaonuku Stream
Maharakeke Stream
Mangaone River
Maraetotara River
Makaretu River
Te Hoe River
Tukipo River -
BAIT FISHING
Bait fishing is only allowed on the following waters:
Lake Te Pohue
Karamu Stream -
USE OF BOATS
No licence holder shall use any mechanically propelled boat on Lake Tutira or Lake Opouahi. -
DAILY BAG LIMITS
The larger of the two lakes known as Twin Lakes, Kuripapango

Esk River above the Ellis Wallace Road bridge, including tributaries
1 sportsfish
Ngaruroro River above the Whanawhana cable, including tributaries
