Declaration Acquiring Land and Easements for Irrigation Purposes (Maungatapere Irrigation Scheme) Over Land in the Whangarei District

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, Sarah Caroline Buchanan, Land Information New Zealand, declares that, an agreement to that effect having been entered into:

(i) Pursuant to section 20, the land described in the First Schedule is acquired for irrigation purposes subject to an existing water easement over the land secondly described in the First Schedule and created by C. 004676.7; and

(ii) Pursuant to section 28, rights to convey water over the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, containing the rights and powers as contained in the Third Schedule hereto, are acquired for irrigation purposes for a term expiring on the 31st day of December 2050 and shall vest in the Crown on the date of publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette.

Pursuant to section 114 of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, Sarah Caroline Buchanan, Land Information New Zealand, declares the land described in the Schedule to this notice to be road and vested in the Waipa District Council.
