Also eligible are those personnel of the United States of America, Korea and Thailand who defended the Republic of Vietnam, became New Zealand citizens and lived permanently in New Zealand immediately prior to their death.

The Gulf War
Members of the New Zealand Armed Forces who served in the operational area between 18 December 1990 and 13 April 1991.

Peacekeeping Service
United Nations Service in Angola between 10 October 1992 and 6 March 1993.
United Nations Service in the former Yugoslavia from 23 March 1992.

Gaming and Lotteries Act 1977

Permission to Conduct Within New Zealand a Lottery Promoted Outside New Zealand

Pursuant to section 69 of the Gaming and Lotteries Act 1977, I, Jack Elder, Minister of Internal Affairs, hereby permit Valvoline Australia Pty Limited, to conduct within New Zealand, subject to the conditions specified in the Schedule to this notice, a lottery promoted outside New Zealand as a sales promotion scheme, to promote the sale of the car cleaning and oil products.

Schedule

Conditions
The permission given by this notice is subject to the following conditions, namely:

(1) Valvoline Australia Pty Limited, shall not conduct the sales promotion scheme in New Zealand after 30 November 1998;

(2) The results of the sales promotion scheme shall be published in the New Zealand Herald on 12 December 1998;

(3) Winners will be notified by certified mail;

(4) New Zealand winners shall not be subject to any extra cost when they claim their prizes;

(5) The chance of a New Zealand participant winning a prize shall be equal to that of an overseas participant.
