Transit New Zealand Act 1989

Amendment to Transit New Zealand Bylaw 1998/15 : Bylaw Regulating the Speed of Vehicles on State Highways in Transit New Zealand Regions 11 and 12

Pursuant to section 61 (3) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, Transit New Zealand hereby amends the above bylaw as follows:

Amendment

1. This amendment shall come into force 28 days after its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

2. In the Third Schedule insert:

9 (c) At Paroa in Grey District from a point (Route Position 430/6.80) located 70 metres generally in a southerly direction from the intersection with Clough Road, to a point (Route Position 430/8.67) located generally in a southerly direction 150 metres from the intersection with Rutherford Road; a distance of approximately 1.87 kilometres.

This amendment is made by delegated authority from the Transit New Zealand Authority.

Conservation Act 1987

Cancellation of Notice Declaring the Disposition of Land to be Exempt From Section 24 of the Conservation Act 1987 and Issue of a Replacement Notice

The notice declaring the disposition of land to be exempt from section 24 of the Conservation Act 1987 dated 28 May 1998 and published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 76 of 4 June 1998 at page 1701 which includes land which is no longer part of the Matahina Power Station, is hereby cancelled and the following notice is issued in its place.

Declaration That the Disposition of Land is Exempt From Section 24 of the Conservation Act 1987

Pursuant to section 24B (4) (b) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation hereby declares that section 24 of the Conservation Act, which deals with the reservation of marginal strips, shall not apply to any proposed disposition of the land in the Schedule hereto.

The land constitutes the Matahina Power Station, an area which is required in connection with electricity works.

South Auckland Land District—Whakatane District

81.5600 hectares, more or less, being Lot 1, D.P. S. 77091, situated in Blocks XIV and XV, Rangitaiki Upper Survey District.

Declaring Land to be Held for Conservation Purposes

Pursuant to section 7 (1)(a) of the Conservation Act 1987, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Community Relations Manager of the West Coast Conservancy of the Department of Conservation, hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule below, is held for conservation purposes and it shall thereafter be so held.

Notification of Disposal of Conservation Land
