New Zealand (Emergency) Food Standard 1998

Section 116 of the Food Act 1981

The New Zealand (Emergency) Food Standard 1998, was issued by Karen O. Poutasi (Dr), Director-General of Health on 28 July 1998.

The New Zealand (Emergency) Food Standard 1998, came into force on the 28 July 1998.

Explanatory Note:

This Emergency Standard relates to confirmed complaints about the presence of extraneous matter (glass) in Chinese rice wine caused by damage to the bottle during the bottling process. While this Standard is in force all rice wine from China will be monitored and assessed for this fault.

Medicines Act 1981

Revocation of Prohibition on the Prescribing of Medicines

Pursuant to section 48 (3) of the Medicines Act 1981, I, Bill English, Minister of Health, hereby revoke the notice issued on 11 October 1995, which prohibits the prescribing of pentazocine and benzodiazepines and their derivatives by Dr Paul Egermayer, medical practitioner of Christchurch.

Misuse of Drugs Act 1975

Revocation of Prohibition on the Prescribing of Controlled Drugs

Pursuant to section 23 (3) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1975, I, Bill English, Minister of Health, hereby revoke the notice issued on 11 October 1995, which prohibits the prescribing of controlled drugs by Dr Paul Egermayer, medical practitioner of Christchurch.
