Prohibition of Access Other Than By a Permit to Mana Island Scientific Reserve

Pursuant to section 21 (2) (b) of the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Conservator of the Wellington Conservancy of the Department of Conservation, advises that from and including 24 December 1997 entry is prohibited to that part of the Mana Island Scientific Reserve described in the Schedule below, unless a permit is first obtained from the Conservator.

Classification and Naming of a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Community Relations Manager, West Coast Conservancy of the Department of Conservation, hereby classifies the reserve described in the Schedule hereto, as a scenic reserve, subject to the provisions of section 19 of the said Act, and further, declares that the said reserve shall hereafter be known as the Langridge Scenic Reserve.

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977 and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Community Relations Manager of the Department of Conservation, West Coast Conservancy, hereby classifies the reserve described in the Schedule hereto, as a local purpose (cultural use) reserve, subject to the provisions of the said Act and further, appoints Te Runaka O Kati Waewae to control and manage the reserve for that purpose.
