Exempt each person who operates a helicopter under VFR by day carrying passengers for hire or reward over water beyond autorotation distance from land, where that helicopter is not capable of complying with the performance requirements in 19.107 (a) from the requirement to ensure the helicopter is operated in such a way that, following the failure of an engine at any stage in flight, the flight is capable of continuing, maintaining 1000 ft terrain clearance, to a suitable area in accordance with that helicopter’s flight manual requirements for a one engine inoperative landing.

Civil Aviation Rules Parts 71 and 73

Pursuant to Civil Aviation Rule Part 71.7 (b) (i) and Part 73.7 (b) (i), the following airspace details are amended with effect from 29 January 1998, with new airspace designations shown in brackets when a current airspace is being replaced—

  1. The following restricted and danger areas are redesignated as military operational areas:
    NZR101 (NZM101), NZD126 (NZM102), NZD125 (NZM103), NZR108 (NZM108), NZR109 (NZM109), NZR200 (NZM200), NZD232 (NZM201), NZD234 (NZM202), NZR300 (NZM300), NZR301 (NZM301), NZR303 (NZM303), NZR325 (NZM304), NZD320 (NZM307), NZD325 (NZM308), NZD326 (NZM309), NZR404 (NZM404), NZR405 (NZM405), NZR406 (NZM406), NZR407 (NZM407), NZR500 (NZM500), NZR503 (NZM503), NZD520 (NZM504), NZR507 (NZM507), NZR601 (NZM601), NZD629 (NZM602), NZR800 (NZM800), NZD820 (NZM801), NZD930 (NZM906).

  2. The following danger areas are redesignated with a new code:
    NZD130 (NZD120), NZD131 (NZD121), NZD233 (NZD224), NZD236 (NZD226), NZD237 (NZD227), NZD432 (NZD422), NZD433 (NZD423), NZD434 (NZD424), NZD630 (NZD627), NZD935 (NZD925).

  3. The following restricted areas are cancelled:
    NZR201A and NZR201B Alexandra, NZR211 Greymouth, NZR222 Kaikoura, NZR228A and NZR228B Manapouri, NZR231 Oamaru, NZR245 Tokoroa, NZR247 Wairoa.

  4. The following restricted areas are redesignated as approach conditional areas:
    NZR127 (NZC117), NZR223 (NZC111), NZR224A (NZC112), NZR224B (NZC113), NZR243 (NZC910), NZR249 (NZC312) NZR251A (NZC710), NZR251B (NZC711).

  5. The following restricted areas are replaced by new designated approach conditional areas:
    NZR210 (NZC213 Whakatane), NZR257A (NZC611 Paraparaumu), NZR257B (NZC612 Paraparaumu), NZR216 (NZC713 Hokitika).

  6. The following new approach conditional area is designated:
    NZC714 (Hokitika).

  7. The following restricted areas are redesignated as mandatory broadcast zones:
    NZR118 (NZC118), NZR311 (NZC311), NZR410 (NZC410), NZR412 (NZC412).

  8. The following restricted area is replaced by a new designated mandatory broadcast zone:
    NZR610 (NZC610 Paraparaumu).

  9. The following new approach conditional area is designated:
    NZC810 (Kaikoura).

  10. The following danger areas are redesignated as volcanic hazard areas:
    NZD211 (NZC211), NZD313 (NZC313), NZD314 (NZC314).

  11. The following parachute drop zones are designated:
    NZP130 (Kaikohe aerodrome), NZP131 (Haruru Falls), NZP132 (Whangarei aerodrome), NZP133 (Kaipara Flats aerodrome), NZP134 (Wainui), NZP135
