Whare Wananga o Awanuiarangi or who is a student of Te Whare Wananga o Awanuiarangi shall be eligible for election, appointment or co-option as a member of the council other than those persons elected, appointed or co-opted pursuant to paragraphs (d), (e), (f) and (g) of clause 2.

4. The term of office of members of the council, vacation of office, disclosure of members’ interests and casual vacancies are covered in sections 173 to 176 of the Education Act 1989.

5. Subject to section 173 of the Act, the maximum term of any member other than the Chief Executive Officer shall be 3 consecutive 4-year terms.

6. The term of office of members who are co-opted to the council under clause 2 (j), shall be determined by the council, but shall not exceed a period of 4 years.

The Fisheries (Southern Scallop Fishery Season) Notice 1997 (No. F63)

Pursuant to section 28ZM (3) of the Fisheries Act 1983 and delegation made pursuant to sections 28 and 41 of the State Sector Act 1988, the Manager Policy, Ministry of Fisheries hereby makes the following notice:

Notice

1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Fisheries (Southern Scallop Fishery Season) Notice 1997.

(2) This notice shall come into effect the day after its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

2. Interpretation—In this notice any reference to the Southern Scallop Fishery means the Fishery described in SCA7 in Part III of the First Schedule to the Fisheries Act 1996.

3. Southern Scallop Season—The period commencing on the 22nd day of August 1997 and ending with the close of the 18th day of December 1997 shall be the Southern Scallop season for the 1997 fishing year.

1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Fisheries (Southern Scallop Fishery Rotational Fishing) Notice 1997.

(2) This notice shall come into effect the day after its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

2. Interpretation—In this notice any reference to the Southern Scallop Fishery means the fishery described as SCA7 in Part III of the First Schedule to the Fisheries Act 1996.

3. Rotational Fishing Areas—No commercial fisherman
