Exemption From Specified Requirements of the Traffic Regulations 1976
Pursuant to regulation 90 (2) and (3) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, I, John Richard Wolf, Vehicle Compliance Officer, hereby exempt the motor vehicle specified in Schedule 1 of this notice from the requirements of the Traffic Regulations 1976 listed in Schedule 2, subject to the conditions specified in Schedule 3.

(iii) This exemption may be revoked at any time;
(iv) A copy of this notice must be carried in the vehicle at all times and be readily available for inspection.

The Traffic (New Plymouth District) Notice 1997
Pursuant to section 52 (1) (c) and 52 (3) of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and to an authority sub-delegated to me by the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand dated 9 June 1997, I, John Paul Edgar, Manager, Safer Roads and Rail, give the following notice:

(1) This notice may be cited as the Traffic (New Plymouth District) Notice 1997.
(2) Those localities and roads appearing on the plans numbered:
LT9732/1 of 8, entitled “Speed Restrictions New Plymouth City (incl. Bell Block)”,
LT9732/2 of 8, entitled “Speed Restrictions-Details New Plymouth City (incl. Bell Block)”,
LT9732/3 of 8, entitled “Speed Restrictions Okato”,
LT9732/4 of 8, entitled “Speed Restrictions Oakura”,
LT9732/5 of 8, entitled “Speed Restrictions Inglewood”,
LT9732/6 of 8, entitled “Speed Restrictions Waitara”,
LT9732/7 of 8, entitled “Speed Restrictions Urenui” and
LT9732/8 of 8, entitled “Speed Restrictions Egmont Village Lepperton & Tongaporutu”
and held by the Head Office of the Land Transport Safety Authority, are declared to be:
(a) closely populated localities at all times for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962; or
(b) 70 kilometres an hour speed-limit areas for the purposes of regulation 21 of the Traffic Regulations 1976, as indicated by markings in accordance with the legend on those plans.

Transport (Vehicle and Driver Registration and Licensing) Act 1986
Approval of Course in Map Reading
Pursuant to section 48 (2) (f) of the Transport (Vehicle and Driver Registration and Licensing) Act 1986, and pursuant to a delegation given by the Director of Land Transport Safety in an instrument of delegation dated the 23rd day of December 1996, I, Christopher Rutter, Regional Compliance Officer, hereby approve courses in map reading to be conducted by the following organisation for the purposes of regulation 11 (1) (c) of the Transport (Drivers Licensing) Regulations 1987:
