Management of Substances Hazardous to Health

Notice of Approval of a Statement of Preferred Work Practices Under the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992

Pursuant to section 20 (3) of the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992, whereas subsections (3) (a) and (3) (b) of section 20 of that Act have been fulfilled and complied with, the Minister of Labour hereby gives notice that he approves a statement of preferred work practices or arrangements for health and safety in the management of substances hazardous to health under the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992.

These preferred work practices or arrangements are designed to describe the general health and safety provisions for the management of substances hazardous to health and for the protection of employees and others from exposure to these substances.

Pursuant to section 48 (4) of the Building Act 1991, notice is hereby given that the Building Industry Authority intends to make a recommendation for the amendment of the Building Regulations 1992.

That recommendation relates to the making of amendments to clauses E1 of the First Schedule to the Building Regulations 1992 ("the building code").

Exemption From Specified Requirements of the Traffic Regulations 1976

Pursuant to regulation 90 (1) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, I, Timothy Neil Bullock, Vehicle Compliance Officer, hereby exempt the motor vehicle specified in Schedule 1 of this notice from requirements of the Traffic Regulations 1976 listed in Schedule 2 and subject to the conditions specified in Schedule 3 of this notice.
