Te Kura Kaupapa Maori o Whakawatea Amendment Notice 1997

Pursuant to section 155 (8) of the Education Act 1989, and to a delegation from the Minister of Education, the Group Manager, Kathy Smith, Ministry of Education, Wellington, hereby gives the following notice:

Notice

1. This notice may be cited as the Te Kura Kaupapa Maori o Whakawatea Amendment Notice 1997.

2. The notice entitled, "Te Kura Kaupapa Maori o Whakawatea", published in the New Zealand Gazette of 30 May 1996, No. 54, page 1408, is hereby amended by revoking clause 5 and substituting the following clause:

"5. Constitution of the Board of Trustees—The Board of Trustees of Te Kura Kaupapa Maori o Whakawatea shall comprise:

a Five elected parent representatives

b The principal

c A staff representative

d Not more than 4 persons co-opted by the board".

3. This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.
