Conservation Act 1987

Maori Land Amendment and Maori Land Claims Adjustment Act 1926

Amendment to the Notice Fixing Forms, Classes and Fees Payable for Fishing Licences Within the Taupo District

Pursuant to section 48A (2A) of the Conservation Act 1987, and section 14 (11) of the Maori Land Amendment and Maori Land Claims Adjustment Act 1926, I, Nick Smith, Minister of Conservation, hereby amend the Notice Fixing Forms, Classes and Fees Payable for Fishing Licences Within the Taupo District that was published in the New Zealand Gazette, 12 June 1997, No. 60, page 1390, by deleting the following line in Form 2 (the day licence form):

“Available from .............. to .............. (both days inclusive).”

and inserting the following line in its place:

“Available from .............. until midnight.”

This notice shall come into effect on the day it is published in the New Zealand Gazette.

Criminal Justice Act 1985

Order for Confiscation of Motor Vehicle

Pursuant to Section 84 of the Criminal Justice Act 1985

On the 28th day of July 1997, at the District Court at Tauranga, Ricei Leigh Thompson, single parent of 53A Ohauiti Road, Tauranga, was convicted and sentenced to supervision for 9 months and disqualified from holding or obtaining a motor driver’s licence until the Secretary for Transport makes an order removing the disqualification, pursuant to section 30A of the Transport Act 1965, following his conviction on 28 July 1997, for an offence of driving with excess breath alcohol.

And in addition to the above-mentioned penalty, Judge I. B. Thomas has ordered that a Toyota Celica motor vehicle, registered No. OT 3843 owned by the above-mentioned defendant, Ricci Leigh Thompson, be forfeited to Her Majesty the Queen, pursuant to section 84 (4) of the Criminal Justice Act 1985.

The vehicle is to be surrendered to the Registrar, District Court, Tauranga, or to the District Court at Tauranga by 4.00 p.m. on the 28th day of July 1997.

Any person having an interest in the above vehicle must advise particulars of that interest to the undersigned within 7 days of the publication of this notice.

Order for Confiscation of Motor Vehicle

Pursuant to Section 84 (2) of the Criminal Justice Act 1985

On the 24th day of July 1997 at the District Court at Hamilton, William Tumata Tawha of 111 Maori Point Road, Whatawhata, was convicted and sentenced to 1 month imprisonment following his conviction on a charge of driving while disqualified.

And in addition to the above-mentioned penalty, Judge R. L. Spear, has ordered that a Toyota Starlet, registration No. JB 5395 owned by the above-mentioned defendant, William Tumata Tawha, be forfeited to Her Majesty the Queen, pursuant to section 84 (2) of the Criminal Justice Act 1985.

The vehicle is to be delivered to the Registrar, District Court, Hamilton, forthwith.
