Reservation of Land

Pursuant to section 167 of the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Conservation, with the consent of the Minister of Lands, hereby sets apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as an historic reserve, subject to the provisions of the Reserves Act 1977.

Reserves Act 1977

Cancellation of Vesting and Revocation of a Reserve

Pursuant to sections 27 and 24 of the Reserves Act 1977, the Minister of Conservation hereby cancels the vesting in The Banks Peninsula District Council of the local purpose (hall site) reserve described in the Schedule hereto and revokes the reservation over the said reserve.

Appointment to Control and Manage a Reserve, Declaration That the Reserve be Known as the Whenua Rangatira and the Classification of the Whenua Rangatira as a Recreation Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, and further, subject to the provisions of the Orakei Act 1991, the Regional Conservator of the Auckland Conservancy of the Department of Conservation, hereby appoints the Ngati Whatu a o Orakei Reserves Board to control and manage the whenua rangatira described in the Schedule below, and also described in the Third Schedule to the Orakei Act, for the purposes of a recreation reserve, and further, declares that the said reserve be known as the whenua rangatira, and further, declares that the said whenua rangatira be classified as a reserve for recreation purposes, subject to the provisions of the Reserves Act.

Classification of Reserve and Declaration That the Reserve be Part of the Mania Ridge Scenic Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977 and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator, Northland Conservancy of the Department of Conservation, hereby classifies the reserve, described in the Schedule hereto, as a scenic reserve, and further, declares the said reserve to form part of the Mania Ridge Scenic Reserve.
