Exempted Requirements

relating to:

Regulation 13 (8): Brakes
Regulation 22 (2): Registration-plate illumination lamps
Regulation 24 (exemption only covers need to comply with appropriate vehicle standard): Front fog lamps
Regulation 27 (exemption only covers need to comply with appropriate vehicle standard): Windscreen wiping and washing
Regulation 28 (2): Rear-vision mirrors
Regulation 29 (4): Seat belts (anchorages)
Regulation 30 (2): Seat belt anchorages
Regulation 32 (3): Door locks and hinges
Regulation 33 (3): Steering
Regulation 34 (1), (3): Interior fittings

Schedule 3

Conditions

(i) The items specified in Schedule 2 (except for seat belts and seat belt anchorages) must be the vehicle manufacturer's original equipment;

(ii) The items specified in Schedule 2 must be in good condition and must not be modified in any way;

(iii) Seat belts that comply with the appropriate vehicle standard are fitted in all sitting positions as required by regulation 29 (1), (2) and (3);

(iv) All seat belts must be securely anchored to the vehicle and seat belt anchorages that are not the vehicle manufacturer's original equipment must comply with Specification S 120395;

(v) This exemption may be revoked at any time;

(vi) A copy of this notice must be carried in the vehicle at all times and be readily available for inspection.

Exemption From Specified Requirements of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990

Pursuant to regulation 36 of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990, I, John Andrew Justice, Senior Engineer, hereby exempt the motor vehicle specified in Schedule 1 of this notice from the requirements of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990 listed in Schedule 2, subject to the conditions specified in Schedule 3.

Schedule 3

Conditions

(i) The items specified in Schedule 2 (except for seat belts and seat belt anchorages) must be the vehicle manufacturer’s original equipment;

(ii) The items specified in Schedule 2 must be in good condition and must not be modified in any way;

(iii) Two-point lap seat belts that comply with the appropriate vehicle standard are fitted in all front sitting positions and the rear sitting positions are equipped with the seat belts required by regulation 29 (1) (c);

(iv) All seat belts must be securely anchored to the vehicle and seat belt anchorages that are not the vehicle manufacturer's original equipment must comply with Specification S 120395;

(v) This exemption may be revoked at any time;

(vi) A copy of this notice must be carried in the vehicle at all times and be readily available for inspection.

Exemption From Specified Requirements of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990

Pursuant to regulation 36 of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990, I, John Andrew Justice, Senior Engineer, hereby exempt Suzuki SC 100 CX-G passenger cars from the requirements of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990 listed in Schedule 1 of this notice, subject to the conditions specified in Schedule 2.

Schedule 2

Conditions

(i) This exemption applies only to Suzuki SC 100 CX-G passenger cars first registered anywhere before 1 January 1991;

(ii) Static three point lap and diagonal seat belts that comply with the appropriate vehicle standard must be fitted in the front sitting positions;
