Auckland Area Fire Districts Notice, June, 1997

Pursuant to section 26 of the Fire Service Act 1975, the New Zealand Fire Service Commission hereby gives the following notice.

Notice

  1. This notice may be cited as the Auckland Area Fire Districts Notice, June, 1997.

  2. This notice shall come into force on the 30th day of June 1997.

  3. This notice revokes and is in substitution for all previous fire district notices for the fire districts listed in the Schedule.

Constitution of Fire Districts

  1. The urban areas listed in the Schedule are hereby constituted as fire districts.

  2. The boundaries of the constituted fire districts are defined and delineated on plans held at the National Office, New Zealand Fire Service, Wellington.

Transit New Zealand

Transit New Zealand Act 1989

Declaring Special Purpose Roads

Pursuant to section 104 of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, the Transit New Zealand gives notice that, with effect from midnight 30 June 1997, those sections of public highway described in the Schedule hereto are declared to be special purpose roads within the meaning and for the purposes of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989.

Schedule

Rainbow Valley Road

All of that section of road commencing at the intersection with No. 63 State Highway and extending in a generally southerly direction to Six Mile Creek—a distance of approximately 16.5 kilometres.

Inland Kaikoura Road

All of that section of road commencing at the intersection with the Mount Lyford Turn-off Road and extending in a generally north-easterly direction to the northern abutment of the Conway River Bridge—a distance of approximately 17.3 kilometres.

Waikaremoana Road

All of that section of road commencing at the intersection with Minginui Road and extending on a generally south-easterly direction to Huiarau school—a distance of approximately 29 kilometres.

Revoking Sections of State Highways Declaring New Sections of State Highway

Pursuant to section 60 of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, the Transit New Zealand Authority gives notice that, with effect from midnight on 30 June 1997, those sections of State highway described in the First Schedule hereto are revoked, those sections of road described in the Second Schedule hereto are declared to be State highway.

First Schedule

All of that part of State Highway No. 1 at Kaitaia that is on North Road from its intersection with Matthews Avenue (at RP 01/6.45), extending in a generally southerly direction to its intersection with Commerce Street and then along the full length of Commerce Street and part of South Road, to the intersection of South Road and Church Road (at RP 01/8.34)—a distance of approximately 1.87 kilometres.

All of that part of State Highway No. 22 from a point 30 metres south of the northern intersection with Adams Drive, Pukekohe (at RP 0/12.94) and extending generally in a southerly direction to the existing southern terminus of the highway (at RP 29/0.0) 500 metres south of the south
