Conservation Act 1987

Amendment to Notice

Pursuant to section 50A of the Conservation Act 1987, and section 6 (3) of the Reserves Act 1977, and a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator of the Department of Conservation, Wellington, hereby amends the notice entitled Amendment to Notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, 20 March 1997, No. 25, page 650, by deleting the words “Gazette notice B. 511439.2” and substituting the words “Gazette notice B. 511349.2”.

Reserves Act 1977

Revocation of the Appointment of the Mataroa Hall Board and Vesting Reserve for a Site for Public Hall in the Rangitikei District Council

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator, Wanganui Conservancy of the Department of Conservation, hereby revokes the appointment of the Mataroa Hall Board over the land described in the Schedule hereto, and vests the said reserve in The Rangitikei District Council.

1012 square metres, more or less, being Section 6, Block VI, Mataroa Suburban, situated in Block IX, Ohinewairua Survey District. All New Zealand Gazette, 1954, page 2004.

Revocation of a Notice Relating to a Reserve and Issue of Fresh Notice

Pursuant to section 6 (3) of the Reserves Act 1977, and by reason of an error made in the notice hereinafter described the Acting Regional Conservator acting under a delegated authority from the Minister of Conservation hereby revokes the notice Authorising the Exchange of Part of a Reserve for Other Land dated the 7th day of December 1993 and published in the New Zealand Gazette of 16 December 1993, No. 181, page 3762, and hereby issues the following notice as a fresh notice in its place.

Authorisation of the Exchange of Part of a Reserve for Other Land

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Acting Regional Conservator, Department of Conservation, Otago, hereby authorises the exchange of that part of the recreation reserve described in the First Schedule hereto, for the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.

Notice of Classification of Reserves—Wellington Harbour

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, notice is given of the intention to classify the public reserve on Matiu/Somes Island as a scientific and historic reserve and the public reserves on the Makaro/Ward and Mokopuna Islands as scientific reserves.

Further information on the proposals can be obtained from the undersigned.

Persons or organisations wishing to object or make a submission on these proposals are required to write to the undersigned by 4.00 p.m. Friday, 1 August 1997, and to state whether they also wish to appear in support of their objection or submission.

Transfer of Esplanade Reserve

Pursuant to section 237D of the Resource Management Act 1991, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, and with the prior written agreement of The South Wairarapa District Council, the Regional
