(ii) The items specified in Schedule 2 must be in good condition and must not be modified in any way;

(iii) Seat belts that comply with the appropriate vehicle standard are fitted in all seating positions as required by regulation 29 (1), (2) and (3);

(iv) All seat belts must be securely anchored to the vehicle and seat belt anchorages that are not the vehicle manufacturer’s original equipment must comply with Specification S 120395;

(v) This exemption may be revoked at any time;

(vi) A copy of this notice must be carried in the vehicle at all times and be readily available for inspection.

Notice of Appointment of Protection Officers

Whereas, pursuant to section 441 of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, the Minister of Transport did delegate her power under section 16 (1) of the Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection Act 1996, to the Maritime Safety Authority by an instrument of delegation dated 19 March 1997.

And whereas, pursuant to section 442 of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, the Maritime Safety Authority did delegate those powers under section 16 (1) of the Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection Act 1996, to me by an instrument of delegation dated 26 March 1997.

Pursuant to section 13 of the Compulsory Retirement Savings Scheme Referendum Act 1997, the Chief Registrar of Electors gives the following notice.

Notice

  1. Title—This notice may be cited as the Compulsory Retirement Savings Scheme Preliminary Referendum Rolls Closing Notice 1997.

  2. Date for closing of preliminary referendum rolls—The date for the closing of the preliminary referendum rolls is 27 June 1997.

Explanatory Note

This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

The preliminary referendum rolls are printed for each electoral district to enable members of the public to check them. The rolls list electors who are enrolled on a date specified for the closing of the rolls. This notice specifies 27 June 1997 as that date. The rolls will be printed as soon as practicable after that date.
