Approval of Hazardous Substances Courses

Pursuant to section 48 (2) (e) of the Transport (Vehicle and Driver Registration and Licensing) Act 1986, and under powers delegated to me by the Director of Land Transport Safety in an instrument of delegation, dated the 23rd day of December 1996, I, Brian Kenneth Stuart Hawkins, Regional Compliance Officer, Safer People and Operators, hereby approve the hazardous substances courses to be run by the following organisation for the purposes of section 70H (1) (a) of the Transport Act 1962:

Allstar Driving School.

Exemption From Specified Requirements of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990

Pursuant to regulation 36 of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990, I, John Andrew Justice, Senior Engineer, hereby exempt the motor vehicle specified in Schedule 1 of this notice from the requirements of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990 listed in Schedule 2, subject to the conditions specified in Schedule 3.

Conditions

(i) The items specified in Schedule 2 (except for seat belts and seat belt anchorages) must be the vehicle manufacturer’s original equipment;

(ii) The items specified in Schedule 2 must be in good condition and must not be modified in any way;

(iii) Seat belts that comply with the appropriate vehicle standard are fitted in all seating positions as required by regulation 29 (1), (2) and (3);

(iv) All seat belts securely anchored to the vehicle and seat belt anchorages that are not the vehicle manufacturer’s original equipment must comply with Specification St 120395;

(v) This exemption may be revoked at any time;

(vi) A copy of this notice must be carried in the vehicle at all times and be readily available for inspection.
