This bylaw was made by resolution at a meeting of Transit New Zealand held in Wellington on the 2nd day of April 1997.

Explanatory Note:
This note is not part of the bylaw, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This bylaw—

(1) Revokes Transit New Zealand Bylaws that have application to sections of roads which, in part, are no longer appropriate for various reasons, including, in some cases that the road is no longer State highway. Those parts of the bylaws that are still relevant will be retained in new bylaws to take effect from the date that this bylaw takes effect; and

(2) Revokes Transit New Zealand Bylaws, relating to speed restrictions on State highways, that have been updated and consolidated into one bylaw to take effect from the date that this bylaw takes effect.

Reserves Act 1977

Revocation of Reserves

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator, Canterbury, hereby revokes the reservations, as reserves for gravel pits, over all the lands described in the Schedule hereto, and further, declares that the said lands may be disposed of by The Waimakariri District Council on the open market at current market value.
Proceeds from any such sales to be paid into the council’s reserves account, such money to be used and applied in or towards the improvement of other reserves under the control of the council, or in or towards the purchase of other land for reserves.

Amendment to a Notice Changing the Purpose of a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, The Manukau City Council hereby amends an error in the notice changing the purposes of a reserve dated on the 12th day of March 1997, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 25 of 20 March 1997, by omitting from the said notice reference to certificate of title 34A/1108 and inserting certificate of title 34A/1109 in its place.

Vesting of Land in North Shore City Council

Pursuant to section 355 (3) of the Resource Management Act 1991, the Minister of Conservation vests the land described in the Schedule hereto, in The North Shore City Council as a recreation reserve, subject to the Reserves Act 1977.

3600 square metres, more or less, being Lot 1, D.P. 172523, situated in Block XII, Waitemata Survey District. Part certificate of title 24D/851. Cancelled. Subject to the Auckland Harbour Foreshore Grant Act 1875.
