Notice of Variation of an International Air Service Licence
Further to a notice in the New Zealand Gazette of 13 March 1997, and pursuant to section 87 (6) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, section 41 of the State Sector Act 1988, and a delegation from the Minister of Transport, dated 28 August 1996, I give notice that, having received an application from Air New Zealand Limited, the Minister of Transport has varied, with effect from 23 April 1997, the international air service licence held by that airline in respect of its services to Canada. With regard to those services operated on a code-shared basis with a designated airline of Canada, Air New Zealand may now use the routing Auckland, optionally via Nadi and/or Rarotonga, to Honolulu and, via separate routes, to Vancouver and Toronto.

Exemptions From Specified Requirements of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990
Pursuant to regulation 36 of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990, I, Peter Waring, Senior Engineer, hereby exempt the motor vehicles specified in Schedule 1 of this notice from the requirements of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990 listed in Schedule 2, subject to the conditions specified in Schedule 3 of this notice.
