D. This approval shall apply only during that period of the open season for game following 6 February 1998 for the purpose of hunting Canada Geese and Paradise Shelduck only. The approval is subject to the conditions specified below.

Fish and Game Regions of:
Wellington

Shotgun Calibre

Persons[^6] may hunt or kill Canada Geese within the following Fish and Game Regions, with any shotgun of a calibre 10 gauge or less having a magazine of any type adjusted in accordance with regulations made under this Act. This approval shall apply only from, and including, the 5th July 1997:

Fish and Game Regions of:
Auckland/Waikato

Camouflaged Rowboats

Persons[^7] may hunt or kill game within the following Fish and Game Regions, from unmoored camouflaged rowboats, subject to the conditions specified below.
Fish and Game Regions of:

Northland
Nelson/Marlborough
Otago
Southland
Taranaki
West Coast
Eastern - applicable only to the estuarine waters of the Tauranga Harbour.
Wellington - applicable only for that remaining period of the open season for game in the Region, commencing from 5 May 1997.
Central South Island - applicable only for that remaining period of the open season for game in the Region, commencing from 5 May 1997.

Pegging day

A person, following purchase of a 1997 game bird hunting licence can reclaim the stand claimed during the 1996 Game Season at any time prior to 10.00am on
6 April 1997 in all Fish & Game regions, except Auckland/Waikato and North Canterbury
19 April 1997 in the North Canterbury Fish & Game region only
20 April 1997 in the Auckland/Waikato Fish & Game region only
