Acting District Court Judge Appointed

Pursuant to section 10A of the District Courts Act 1947, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint

Anthony Arthur Paul Willy, retired District Court Judge

to be an Acting District Court Judge, to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction at such place or places and for such period or periods only as the Chief District Court Judge may fix, for a term of 12 months on and from the 4th day of March 1997.

Civil Aviation Act 1990

Notice of Intention to Consider Varying an International Air Service Licence

Pursuant to section 87(3) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, and a delegation from the Secretary for Transport dated 28 August 1996, I give notice that having received an application from Air New Zealand Limited, the Minister of Transport intends to consider varying the International Air Service Licence held by that airline to, in respect of services to Canada, operate over the additional routing Auckland - Rarotonga - Honolulu, and thence, via separate routes, to Vancouver and Toronto, with effect from 23 April 1997.

Any person or organisation wishing to make representations relating to this application must forward those representations in writing to reach me at the Ministry of Transport, P.O. Box 3175, Wellington, on or before 4 April 1997.
