Land at Earl Road, Temuka Acquired for River Protection Purposes and Severance

Pursuant to section 20 (1) of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Regional Solicitor, Land Information New Zealand, Christchurch, declares that, agreements to that effect having been entered into:

(i) The land described in the First Schedule hereto, is hereby acquired for river protection purposes, and shall vest in The Canterbury Regional Council on the date of publication of this declaration in the New Zealand Gazette.

(ii) The land described in the Second Schedule hereto, is hereby acquired pursuant to section 34 of the Public Works Act 1981 for severance, and shall vest in The Timaru District Council on the date of publication of this declaration in the New Zealand Gazette.
