Legal Services Board Instructions
The Legal Services Board gives notice that on the 25th day of November 1997, it issued the following instructions to come into force on the 1st day of February 1998.

Instructions
Legal Services Board (Criminal Legal Aid Remuneration - Status Hearings) Instructions 1998.
These instructions make provision for remuneration to counsel who attend status hearings in District Courts. Status hearings are defined in the instructions. Payment levels are the same as those trailed by the board for status hearings held in a number of District Courts since November 1995.

Maritime Transport Act 1994
Notification of Maritime Rules
Pursuant to section 448 of the Maritime Transport Act 1994, notification is hereby given of the making of the following Maritime Rules—
Part 22—Collision Prevention
Part 47—Load Lines
Part 73—Logbooks
Parts 22, 47 and 73 shall come into force on the 1st day of February 1998.
Parts 22, 47 and 73 are available for inspection at the Head Office of the Maritime Safety Authority of New Zealand, Level Eight, AMP House, 109 Featherston Street, Wellington and for purchase from Publishing Solutions Limited, P.O. Box 983, Wellington 6015.

Transit New Zealand Act 1989
Bylaw Regulating Speed of Vehicles on State Highway No. 16 at Kumeu and Huapai
Pursuant to section 61 (3) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, Transit New Zealand makes the following bylaw.

Title and commencement—This bylaw may be cited as the Transit New Zealand Bylaw 1997/16.

This bylaw shall come into force 28 days following its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

Interpretation—In this bylaw—
“Motor vehicle” has the meaning assigned to it in section 2 (1) of the Transport Act 1962.

No person shall drive a motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 60 kilometres an hour on that part of State Highway No. 16 at Kumeu and Huapai, commencing at a point (at Route Position 19/7.46) 50 metres southeast of Old Railway Road and extending in a generally north-westerly direction for a distance of 3.1 kilometres to a point (at Route Position 19/10.56) 75 metres northwest of Trigg Road.
This bylaw is made by delegated authority from the Transit New Zealand Authority.

Conservation Act 1987
Declaring Land to be Held for Conservation Purposes
Pursuant to section 7 (1) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation and the Minister of Lands, being the Minister responsible for the Department of the State that has control of the land, hereby jointly declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto is held for conservation purposes and it shall thereafter be so held.
