Transit New Zealand Act 1989

Declaring State Highway to Be Limited Access Road: State Highway No. 34 Kawerau to State Highway No. 2

It is notified that Transit New Zealand, by resolution dated 8 October 1997 and pursuant to section 88 (1) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, hereby declares that part of State Highway No. 34 commencing at the Kawerau and Whakatane District Council Boundary to the northeast of the town of Kawerau (at Route Position 0/4.51) proceeding in a northerly direction to the intersection with State Highway No. 30 (at Route Position 0/8.98), then recommencing at the northern side of the intersection with State Highway No. 30 (at Route Position 10/0.00) and proceeding in a generally northerly direction to the intersection with State Highway No. 2 (at Route Position 10/10.30) – a distance of 14.76 kilometres; as more particularly shown on Plans LA 23/1547/1 and LA 23/1354/1 and accompanying Schedules held in the office of the Regional State Highway Manager, Transit New Zealand, Hamilton, and there available for public inspection, to be a limited access road.

Declaring State Highway to Be Limited Access Road: State Highway No. 2 Awakeri to Taneatua

It is notified that Transit New Zealand, by resolution dated 8 October 1997 and pursuant to section 88 (1) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, hereby declares that part of State Highway No. 2 commencing at its intersection with State Highway No. 30 at Awakeri (at Route Position 243/0.00) proceeding in a generally south-easterly direction to – on the north-eastern side of the highway – the southern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 12742; part Section 7, Block IX, Whakatane (at Route Position 258/0.85), and – on the south-western side of the highway – to the southern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. S. 15133 (at Route Position 258/0.94) – a distance of 13.11 kilometres; as more particularly shown on Plan LA 23/1555/1 and accompanying Schedule held in the office of the Regional State Highway Manager, Transit New Zealand, Hamilton, and there available for public inspection, to be a limited access road.
