Transport (Vehicle and Driver Registration and Licensing) Act 1986

Approval of Motorcycle Driving School

Pursuant to section 48 (2) (b) of the Transport (Vehicle and Driver Registration and Licensing) Act 1986; and under powers delegated to me by the Director of Land Transport Safety in an instrument of delegation dated the 23rd day of December 1996; I, Christopher Rutter, Regional Compliance Officer, hereby approve the following courses of motorcycle instruction:

The Course of Core Motorcycle Instruction for the purposes of regulation 30 (5) of the Transport (Drivers Licensing) Regulations 1987;

The Course of Advanced Motorcycle Instruction for the purposes of regulation 32 of the Transport (Drivers Licensing) Regulations 1987

to be conducted by the following approved school of instruction:

John Peter Wright, trading as Club 42 Motorcycle School.

Exemption From Specified Requirements of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990

Pursuant to regulation 36 of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990, I, Barry Edward Crocker, Vehicle Compliance Officer, hereby exempt the motor vehicle specified in Schedule 1 of this notice from the requirements of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990 listed in Schedule 2, subject to the conditions specified in Schedule 3.

Schedule 3

Conditions

1 The items specified in Schedule 2 (except for seat belts and seat belt anchorages) must be within the vehicle manufacturer’s specifications;

2 The items specified in Schedule 2 must be in sound condition and good working order;

3 Two-point lap seat belts that comply with the appropriate vehicle standard are fitted in the front outboard sitting positions;

4 All seat belts must be securely anchored to the vehicle and seat belt anchorages that are not the vehicle manufacturer’s original equipment must comply with Specification St 120395;

5 This exemption may be revoked at any time;

6 A copy of this notice must be carried in the vehicle at all times and be readily available for inspection.
