Exemption From Specified Requirements of the Traffic Regulations 1976

Pursuant to regulations 90 (1) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, I, Martyn Jacob de Liefde, Vehicle Compliance Officer, hereby exempt the motor vehicle specified in Schedule 1 of this notice from the requirements of the Traffic Regulations 1976 listed in Schedule 2, subject to the conditions specified in Schedule 3.

Exemption From Specified Requirements of the Traffic Regulations 1976

Pursuant to regulations 90 (2) and (3) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, I, Martyn Jacob de Liefde, Vehicle Compliance Officer, hereby exempt the motor vehicle specified in Schedule 1 of this notice from the requirements contained within regulation 70 (1) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, subject to the conditions specified within Schedule 2 of this notice.

Conditions

i) When the vehicle is operated on a road, the arm and sawblade are parked so they do not impede the driver’s forward view through the windscreen and to the left & right of the driving position or constitute a dangerous fitting;

ii) When the vehicle is operated on a road, mirrors which give a clear rearward view must be fitted at all times;

iii) When the vehicle is operated on a road, the maximum speed at which it may travel is limited to 80 kmph;

iv) This exemption may be revoked at any time;

v) A copy of this notice must be carried in the vehicle at all times and must be readily available for inspection.

Transport Act 1962

The Traffic (Upper Hutt City) Notice 1997

Pursuant to sections 52 (1) and 52 (3) of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976 and to an authority sub-delegated to me by the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand dated 9 June 1997, I, John Paul Edgar, Manager, Safer Roads and Rail, give the following notice.

Notice

(1) This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Upper Hutt City) Notice 1997.

(2) Those localities and roads marked according to the Legend and appearing on Plan LT9748, entitled “Speed Restriction Plan Upper Hutt City” and held by the Head Office of the Land Transport Safety Authority, are declared to be:

(a) closely populated localities at all times pursuant to section 52 (1) (c) of the Transport Act 1962; or

(b) 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas or limited speed zones pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

The said plan is hereby incorporated into this notice.

(3) This notice revokes The Traffic (Upper Hutt City) Notice No. 1, 1993*.
