Reserves Act 1977

Classification of Reserves

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator, Canterbury, hereby classifies the reserves, described in the Schedule hereto, as recreation reserves, subject to the provisions of the said Act.

Schedule

Canterbury Land District—Christchurch City

7.1325 hectares, being Reserve 3824. All New Zealand Gazette, 1969, page 1429. S.O. 4936.

644 square metres, being Lot 7, D.P. 44573.

Revocation of Reserves

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator, Canterbury, hereby revokes the reservations over the lands described in the Schedule hereto, and further, declares that the said lands may be disposed of by The Waimakariri District Council at current market value, and on such terms and conditions as the Waimakariri District Council may determine. Proceeds from any such sales to be paid into the council's reserves account, such money to be used and applied in or towards the improvement of other reserves under the control of the council, or in or towards the purchase of other land for reserves.

Maori Land Act 1993

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

Pursuant to section 338 (1) of the Maori Land Act 1993, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purpose of the protection of Wahi Tapu for the common use and benefit of those Ngati Hinewaka who are entitled as descendants of the original owners of Matakiataki-a-Kupe No. 1 Block.

This Wahi Tapu reserve to be known as Matakiataki-a-Kupe A1.

All that piece of land situated in Block X, Kaiwaka Survey District and described as follows:
