to be Judges of the Courts Martial Appeal Court for a term of 5 years from the date hereof.

Deferral of Commencement Date for Early Childhood Education Charter Guidelines: Statement of Desirable Objectives and Practices

The notice entitled “Early Childhood Education Charter Guidelines: Statement of Desirable Objectives and Practices” appearing in the New Zealand Gazette on 3 October 1996, No. 139, page 3349, is amended by:

1. Omitting the expression “1 April 1998”, and substituting the expression “1 August 1998”; and

2. Omitting the expression “the first day of April 1998”, and substituting the expression “1 August 1998”.

The Ngahere School Board of Trustees By-Election Extension Notice

Acting with authority delegated by the Minister of Education under clause 9(2) of the Sixth Schedule to the Education Act 1989, I extend the date for posting out voting papers (and all subsequent actions in accordance with the Education (Trustee Elections) Regulations 1992) for the election of 2 parent representatives for the Ngahere School Board of Trustees.

This action is being taken because of incorrect information included in voting papers distributed on 22 August 1997.

The date for posting out voting papers for the election of 2 parent representatives for the Ngahere School Board of Trustees shall be 24 September 1997.

This notice shall take effect the day after its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

Dissolution of Board of Trustees and Appointment of Commissioner at Island Bay School (2865)

Acting under delegated authority, pursuant to section 106 (1) of the Education Act 1989, for the reason that so many casual vacancies have arisen that there is no longer any member of the board who is eligible to preside at meetings of the board, I hereby dissolve the Island Bay School Board of Trustees and appoint

Mr Bruce Kelly

as commissioner to act in its place.

Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1990

Cancellation of Licence for an Early Childhood Centre

Pursuant to regulation 14 of the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1990, and acting under authority delegated by the Secretary for Education, I hereby cancel the licence dated 26 August 1997, which was granted under those regulations to Mr W. Nichol, in respect of:

Hawera Community Childcare Centre, (50513), situated at 20 Victoria Street, Hawera.

The centre has ceased to operate.
