Traffic Regulations 1976

Exemption From Specified Requirements of the Traffic Regulations 1976

Pursuant to regulation 90 (1) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and pursuant to an authority delegated to me by way of instrument of delegation dated 23 December 1996, I, James Lindsay Graham Bell, Vehicle Compliance Officer, hereby exempt the motor vehicle specified in Schedule 1 of this notice from requirements of the Traffic Regulations 1976 listed in Schedule 2 and subject to the conditions specified in Schedule 3 of this notice.

Exempted requirements

Regulation 78 (1) (a) and (1) (b) Front outboard seat belts

Schedule 3

Conditions

(i) All seat belts must be in good condition and must not be modified in any way;

(ii) Approved two point lap seat belts are fitted in the front seating positions;

(iii) No seats are installed in the rear of the vehicle behind the drivers seating position and no passengers can be carried in the vehicle behind the drivers seating position at any time;

(iv) This exemption may be revoked at any time;

(v) A copy of this notice must be carried in the vehicle at all times and be readily available for inspection.

Pursuant to section 52 (1) (c) and 52 (3) of the Transport Act 1962, and to an authority sub-delegated to me by the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand dated 9 June 1997, I, John Paul Edgar, Manager, Safer Roads and Rail, give the following notice:

(1) This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Whangarei District) Notice No. 5, 1997.

(2) The section of road specified in the Schedule is declared to be a closely populated locality at all times for the purposes of section 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962.

SITUATED within Whangarei District at Ocean Beach: Ocean Beach Road: from the eastern termination of Ocean Beach Road to a point 550 metres measured westerly, generally, along Ocean Beach Road.
