Exemption From Specified Requirements of the Traffic Regulations 1976

Pursuant to regulation 90 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, I, Peter Waring, Senior Engineer, hereby exempt the motor vehicle specified in Schedule 1 of this notice from the requirements contained within regulation 78 (1) (a) and (b) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, subject to the conditions specified within Schedule 2 of this notice.

Transport Act 1962

The Traffic (Kaipara District) Notice No. 3, 1996

Pursuant to sections 52 (1) (c) and 52 (3) of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and to a delegation from the Minister of Transport, dated 31 August 1990, I, Grant Stewart Ellis Milne, Secretary for Transport, give the following notice:

Notice

(1) This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Kaipara District) Notice No. 3, 1996.

(2) The roads specified in the First Schedule are declared to be closely populated localities at all times for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

(3) The roads specified in the Second Schedule are declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas, pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

(4) The Traffic (Otmatea County) Notice No. 1, 1989* is revoked.

First Schedule

Situated within Kaipara District at Maungaturoto:

No. 12 State Highway (Ohaeawai-Maungaturoto via Dargaville): From a point 360 metres measured south-westerly, generally, along the said State highway from Whaka Road to a point 200 metres measured easterly, generally, along the said State highway from Bickerstaffe Road.

Bickerstaffe Road: From the No. 12 State Highway (Ohaeawai-Maungaturoto via Dargaville) to a point 640 metres measured easterly and southerly, generally, along Bickerstaffe Road from the said State highway.

Doctors Hill Road: From the No. 12 State Highway (Ohaeawai-Maungaturoto via Dargaville) to a point 500 metres measured northerly, generally, along the said road from the said State highway.

Griffin Road: From Waipu Gorge Road to a point 200 metres measured south-westerly, generally, along Griffin Road from Waipu Gorge Road.

Waipu Gorge Road: From the No. 12 State Highway (Ohaeawai-Maungaturoto via Dargaville) to a point 200 metres measured north-easterly, generally, along the said road from Griffin Road.

Whaka Road: From the No. 12 State Highway (Ohaeawai-Maungaturoto via Dargaville) to a point 300 metres measured southerly, generally, along Whaka Road from Judd Road.

Second Schedule

Situated within Kaipara District at Maungaturoto:

No. 12 State Highway (Ohaeawai-Maungaturoto via Dargaville): From a point 200 metres measured easterly, generally, along the said State highway from Bickerstaffe Road to a point 100 metres measured easterly, generally, along the said State highway from Doctors Hill Road.
