Exemption From Specified Requirements of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990

Pursuant to regulation 36 of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990, I, Peter Nicholas Rendall, Senior Vehicle Compliance Officer, hereby exempt the motor vehicle specified in Schedule 1 of this notice from the requirements contained within regulations 29 (1) (c) and (4) of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990, subject to the conditions specified within Schedule 2 of this notice.

Commodity Levies (Pipfruit) Order 1996

The Commodity Levies (Pipfruit) Order 1996

The Levy Rate for the period ended 31 October 1996 is 1.5 cents per tray carton equivalent (tce) of pipfruit, plus G.S.T. A tce equals 18.8 kg of fruit. There is a minimum levy payable of $150.00 plus G.S.T. and a maximum levy payable of $2,000.00 plus G.S.T.

The levy is calculated on a grower’s total production of pipfruit produced in the 1994–95 season (1 November 1994 to 31 October 1995). The levy is payable by growers who produced 1000 tces or more of apples and/or European Pears in the 1994–95 season. Invoices will be sent to pipfruit growers shortly for this commodity levy.

Securities Amendment Act 1988

The Authorised Futures Dealers Notice 1996 (No. 5), Amendment No. 1

Pursuant to the Securities Amendment Act 1988, the Securities Commission gives the following notice.

Notice

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as The Authorised Futures Dealers Notice 1996 (No. 5), Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together and deemed part of The Authorised Futures Dealers Notice 1996 (No. 5) (hereinafter referred to as the principal notice).

(2) This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

  1. Interpretation—Clause 2 of the principal notice is hereby amended by deleting the definition of “person” and substituting the following definition:

“‘Person’ for the purposes of subparagraphs (ix) and (x) of clause 3 (2) (a) of this notice includes groups of related companies as that term is defined in section 2 (3) and 2 (4) of the Companies Act 1993.

  1. Schedule of principal notice amended—The Schedule to the principal notice is hereby amended by adding the names “Energy Brokers New Zealand Limited” and “Trans Power New Zealand Limited”.
