Commodity Levies Act 1995
New Zealand Blueberry Growers Association Incorporated Limited – Commodity Levies (Blueberries) Order 1995
In accordance with the above order, growers and collection agents of blueberries are advised:
-
A levy is payable on all blueberries produced (whether fresh or frozen) in New Zealand and sold in or exported from New Zealand.

The commodity levy imposed on all blueberries is effective from the 1st day of January 1996. Growers are primarily responsible for ensuring the levy is forwarded to the New Zealand Blueberry Growers Association. Collection agents (e.g. exporters and produce brokers) are to forward the levy on behalf of the grower or where a collection agent is not used (e.g. grower road side sales) the grower is to forward the levy.
Growers will be requested mid year to complete a levy return.
Payments are to be made out to the order of:
“New Zealand Blueberry Growers Association Incorporated”, P.O. Box 1417, Wellington.
- The following levies will apply:
| Export | Fresh | 33 cents per kilogram |
| | Frozen | 6 cents per kilogram |
| Local | Fresh | 10 cents per kilogram |
| | Frozen | 3 cents per kilogram |
This notice does not indicate a change in the previous levy amount, but shows the changes in collection under the Commodity Levies Act 1995. Any queries can be directed to Ian Turk on telephone (04) 471 0451.

The Authorised Futures Dealers Notice 1994, Amendment No. 1
Pursuant to section 38 of the Securities Amendment Act 1988, the Securities Commission gives the following notice.
Notice
- Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as The Authorised Futures Dealers Notice 1994, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Authorised Futures Dealers Notice 1994 (hereinafter referred to as the principal notice).
(2) This notice shall come into force on the day of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.
- Schedule amended—The Schedule to the principal notice is hereby amended by deleting the name “Norwich Union Holdings (NZ) Limited”.

Pursuant to section 38 of the Securities Amendment Act 1988, the Securities Commission gives the following notice.
Notice
- Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as The Authorised Futures Dealers Notice 1996 (No. 2).
(2) This notice shall come into force on the day of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.
- Interpretation—(1) In this notice, unless the context otherwise requires:
“the Act” means the Securities Amendment Act 1988.
(2) Any term or expression that is not defined in this notice, but that is defined in the Act, has the meaning given to it by the Act.
- Norwich Union Investment Management (NZ) Limited authorised to carry on the business of dealing in futures contracts—(1) Norwich Union Investment Management (NZ) Limited is hereby authorised to carry on the business of dealing in futures contracts made on or effected through:
(a) an authorised futures exchange; or
(b) a futures exchange in a country other than New Zealand which is authorised by the laws of that country to operate as a futures exchange.
(2) The authorisation of Norwich Union Investment Management (NZ) Limited referred to in subclause (1) of this clause is subject to the condition that Norwich Union Investment Management (NZ) Limited does not carry on the business of dealing in futures contracts except:
(a) as part of the business of Norwich Union Investment Management (NZ) Limited as a funds manager; or
(b) as part of the duties and functions of Norwich Union Investment Management (NZ) Limited as a trustee of any managed fund.
(3) The authorisation granted by subclause (1) of this clause shall continue in force until it is revoked by the Commission.
