Conservation Act 1987

Declaring Land to be Held for Conservation Purposes

Pursuant to section 7 (1A) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation, being the Minister responsible for the Department of State that has control of the 3 parcels of land in the West Coast Conservancy, described in the Schedule hereto, declares that the land is held for conservation purposes and it shall hereafter be so held.

Schedule

Nelson Land District—Buller District

Firstly, 1015 square metres, more or less, being Section 1, Survey Office Plan 15394, Town of Springs Junction, situated in Block III, Lewis Survey District.

Secondly, 1855 square metres, more or less, being Section 2, Survey Office Plan 15394, Town of Springs Junction, situated in Block III, Lewis Survey District.

Thirdly, 1100 square metres, more or less, being Section 3, Survey Office Plan 15394, Town of Springs Junction, situated in Block III, Lewis Survey District.

Reserves Act 1977

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator, Otago Conservancy, Department of Conservation, hereby revokes the reservation as a reserve over the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Schedule

Otago Land District—Dunedin District

31.2430 hectares, more or less, being Sections 18 and 22, Block VI, Town of Hyde. Subject to a mining permit registered as 9D/542.

Revocation of the Reservation Over Part of a Reserve Specifying the Manner of Disposal and How Proceeds of Sale Shall be Utilised

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator of the Auckland Conservancy of the Department of Conservation, hereby revokes the reservation as a recreation reserve over the land described in the Schedule hereto, and further declares that the said land may be disposed of by The North Shore City Council at current market value, the proceeds from sale to be paid into the council’s reserves account, such moneys to be used and applied in or towards the improvements of other reserves under the control of council, or in or towards the purchase of other land for reserves.

North Auckland Land District—North Shore City

191 square metres, more or less, being part Lot 12, D.P. 45274, situated in Block IV, Waitemata Survey District; marked as “A” on S.O. 68160. Part certificate of title 58D/281. Subject to Gazette notice No. B. 458466.1.

Corrigendum

Declaring Maori Freehold Land to be Included in a Maori Reservation

In the notice No. 2895 with the above heading published in the New Zealand Gazette on 9 May 1996, No. 45 at page 1252, the following amendments are required:

“owners of Wi Pere Trust Estate” should read “the people of Whanau-a-Kai tribe”

at the end of the first paragraph should be added “and No. 62 page 1443 of the 21st day of May 1981”

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

Pursuant to section 338 (1) of Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993, on the recommendation of the Maori Land Court, the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purpose of an urupa for the common use and benefit of the beneficial owners of Paehinahina Mourea No. 1 and their descendants.
