Comments are invited on the following proposed rules being developed under the Maritime Transport Act 1994:
Part 21—Safe Ship Management Systems.
Part 46—Surveys, Certification and Maintenance.
Part 48—Tonnage Measurement.
Comments should be made by 28 September 1996.

Southern Hawke’s Bay Fire Districts Notice, July 1996
Pursuant to section 26 of the Fire Service Act 1975, the New Zealand Fire Service Commission hereby gives the following notice.
Notice

This notice may be cited as the Southern Hawke’s Bay Fire Districts Notice, July 1996.

This notice shall come into force on the 15th day of July 1996.

This notice revokes and is in substitution for all previous fire district notices for the districts listed in the Schedule.
Constitution of Fire Districts
-
The urban areas of the towns listed in the Schedule are hereby constituted as fire districts.
-
The boundary of the constituted fire districts are defined and delineated on plans held at the National Office, New Zealand Fire Service, Wellington.

The information required to be published by Telecom under the Telecommunications (Disclosure) Regulations 1990, for the quarter ended 30 June 1996 is available, as from 30 July 1996, on request by any person, at the principal offices of Telecom in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. The principal offices are:

Transit New Zealand Act 1989
Declaring State Highway to be Limited Access Road—State Highway No. 1 Kinleith to Atiamuri
It is notified that Transit New Zealand, by resolution dated 3 July 1996 and pursuant to section 88 (1) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, hereby declares that part of State Highway No. 1, commencing at the Matarawa Stream Bridge south abutment (at RP 548/8.03) and extending in a southerly direction to its junction with State Highway No. 30 (at RP 548/21.05), a distance of 13.02 kilometres; as more particularly shown on plans TNZ HN/6 and LA 20/15/1 sheets 1 to 15 and accompanying Schedule held in the office of the Regional State Highway Manager, Transit New Zealand, Hamilton, and there available for public inspection, to be a limited access road.

Declaring State Highway to be Limited Access Road—State Highway No. 23 Whatawhata to Okete
It is notified that Transit New Zealand, by resolution dated 3 July 1996 and pursuant to section 88 (1) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, hereby declares that part of State Highway No. 23 on both sides of the highway commencing at the Waipa River Bridge west abutment (at RP 2/10.28) and extending in a westerly direction to the Okete Stream Bridge east abutment (at RP 34/5.29), a distance of 25.98 kilometres; as more particularly shown on plans TNZ HN/5, LA 20/71/1 and LA 20/72/1 sheets 1 to 28 and accompanying Schedule held in the office of the Regional State Highway Manager, Transit New Zealand, Hamilton, and there available for public inspection, to be a limited access road.
