Conservation Act 1987

Declaring Land to be Held for Conservation Purposes

Pursuant to section 7 (1A) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto, is held for conservation purposes and it shall thereafter be so held.

South Auckland Land District—Rotorua District

1.6900 hectares, more or less, being Lot 3, D.P. S. 65989, situated in Block I, Tarawera Survey District. All certificate of title 55B/639.

1.3050 hectares, more or less, being Section 114, S.O. 51526, situated in Block I, Tarawera Survey District. Part New Zealand Gazette, 1908, page 1038.

Declaration That Land be Held for Conservation Purposes Together With a Declaration That Parts of the Land be Reserves for Recreation and Esplanade Purposes, Classification of the Reserves and Vesting of the Esplanade Reserve in The Western Bay of Plenty District Council and Appointment of the Said Council to Control and Manage the Recreation Reserve

The Minister of Conservation, acting pursuant to section 7 (1A) of the Conservation Act 1987, hereby declares that the lands described in the First and Second Schedules hereto, are held for conservation purposes and, pursuant to section 8 (1A) of the said Act, hereby declares that the land described in the First and Second Schedules to be reserves, subject to the Reserves Act 1977, and classified as local purpose (esplanade) and recreation reserves respectively, and further, pursuant to section 26 of the Reserves Act 1977, vests the local purpose (esplanade) reserve described in the First Schedule hereto, in The Western Bay of Plenty District Council, in trust for that purpose, and further, pursuant to section 28 of the Reserves Act 1977, appoints the said council to control and manage the recreation reserve described in the Second Schedule hereto.

3.9160 hectares, more or less, being Sections 205 and 206, situated in Block I, Katikati North Survey District (S.O. Plan 56491). Part New Zealand Gazette, 1888, page 899.

Second Schedule

South Auckland Land District—Western Bay of Plenty District

5.8860 hectares, more or less, being Sections 1 and 2, S.O. Plan 60265 (formerly balance Sections 181 and 86, Block I, Katikati North Survey District). Part New Zealand Gazette, 1888, page 899.

Notification of Disposal of Conservation Land

Pursuant to section 26 of the Conservation Act 1987, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator, Department of Conservation, Wellington Conservancy, hereby declares that the land formerly held for conservation purposes, described in the Schedule hereto, has been disposed of in consideration for an agreement to exchange dated 19 January 1994.

Reserves Act 1977

Vesting of Reserves in The Hurunui District Council

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator, Canterbury, hereby vests the reserves described in the Schedule hereto, in The Hurunui District Council, in trust, for cemetery purposes.

Classification of Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977 and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator, Nelson/Marlborough Conservancy, Department of Conservation, hereby classifies the reserves, described in the Schedule hereto, as scenic reserves, subject to the provisions of section 19 (1) (a) of the said Act.
