Notification of Ordinary Rules

Pursuant to section 34 of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, notification is hereby given of the ordinary rules set out in the Schedule hereto which shall come into force on the 28th day of November 1996.

Civil Aviation Rules Part 47: Aircraft Registration and Marking

These ordinary rules are available for inspection at the Head Office of the Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand, 1 Market Grove, Lower Hutt and for purchase from Publishing Solutions Limited (P.O. Box 983), Wellington 6015.

Summary of Exemptions Granted by Director of Civil Aviation

Pursuant to section 37 of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, notification is hereby given of a summary of exemptions, set out in the Schedule hereto, granted by the Director of Civil Aviation.

Schedule

Number of exemptions granted: 40.

In addition to the exemptions listed in the New Zealand Gazette 1995, No. 15, pages 150 and 151, and in 1996, No. 65, pages 1638, 1639 and 1640, the following have also been granted:

Nature of exemptions granted:

Docket 1239, to all persons, on 19 June 1996. From 92.51 (a) (4). To exempt them from the requirement to have packaging, except for Class 7, approved by the Director, and to allow the use of United Nations specification packaging that is approved by a Contracting State. To remain in force until the exemption is withdrawn by the Director.

Docket 1240, to Dunedin Airport Limited on 1 July 1996. From 139.203 (c). To exempt them from the requirement that each fence, gate, door, and other barriers between the public and security areas shall be 2400 mm in height, provided that the barriers are maintained at a height not less than they were on 9 November 1995. To remain in force until 24 November 1996, or the exemption is withdrawn by the Director.

The grant or denial of exemptions is also published in the Civil Aviation Rules Register Information Leaflet (CARRIL), a 6-weekly publication of the Civil Aviation Authority. Exemption Docket files can be viewed on prior request to the Register at the office of the Civil Aviation Authority at 1 Market Grove (P.O. Box 31-441), Lower Hutt.

Transit New Zealand

Transit New Zealand Act 1989

Declaring State Highway to be Limited Access Roadโ€”State Highway No. 1, State Highway No. 30 Junction to Atiamuri Bridge

It is notified that Transit New Zealand, by resolution dated 5 June 1996 and pursuant to section 88 (1) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, hereby declares that part of both sides of State Highway No. 1 commencing at its junction with State Highway No. 30 (at R.P. 569/0.00) and extending in a southerly direction, for a distance of 5.62 kilometres, to the north abutment of the Atiamuri Bridge (at R.P. 575/0.05), as more particularly shown on sheets 1 to 7 of Plan TNZ HN/2 and accompanying Schedule held in the office of the Regional State Highway Manager, Transit New Zealand, Hamilton, and there available for public inspection, to be a limited access road.

Burial and Cremation Act 1964

Reserves Act 1977

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve

Pursuant to section 21 (3) of the Burial and Cremation Act 1964 and section 24 of the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator of the Wellington Conservancy of the Department of Conservation, hereby revokes the reservation for cemetery purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto.

5.3064 hectares, more or less, being Section 25, Pahiatua Village, situated in Block VIII, Mangahao Survey District. Part New Zealand Gazette, 1886, page 1307.
