Declaring Land to be Held for Conservation Purposes

National Parks Act 1980

Land to be Declared Wilderness Area

Pursuant to section 14A of the National Parks Act 1980, the Minister of Conservation hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto (including the waters and beds of all internal rivers, lakes and streams) shall continue to be set apart as a wilderness area known as the “Tasman Wilderness Area”.

Revocation of Appointment of the Minister of Internal Affairs to Control and Manage Reserves

Pursuant to section 36 of the Reserves Act 1977, the Minister of Conservation, hereby revokes the appointment of the Minister of Internal Affairs to control and manage the reserve for Government purpose (wildlife refuge) described in the First Schedule hereto, and the reserves for Government purpose (wildlife management) described in the Second Schedule hereto.
