New Zealand Geographic Board Act 1946

Notice of Intention to Assign Altered Place Names

Pursuant to section 12 of the New Zealand Geographic Board Act 1946, notice is hereby given of the intention of the New Zealand Geographic Board to assign the altered names stated in the first column of the Schedule below to the respective places described in the second column of the said Schedule.

Objection to any such proposed name may be given in writing, setting out the grounds for objection, to the Secretary of the Board, care of the Department of Survey and Land Information, Private Box 170, Wellington, within a period of 3 months from the date of the New Zealand Gazette containing this notice.

Schedule

South Auckland Land District

  1. Omaunu Point In fomap 260 U18 GR 729716, point on Lake Taupo located between Parawera Bay and Jerusalem Bay. Change from Omauru Point.

Wellington Land District

  1. Makaro Island In fomap 260 R27 GR 667886, small island in Wellington Harbour. Change from Ward Island.

  2. Matiu Island In fomap 260 R27 GR 663924, small island in Wellington Harbour. Change from Somes Island.

Land Taken for Road and Severance Area

MICHAEL HARDIE BOYS, Governor-General

A PROCLAMATION

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1981, I, the Right Honourable Sir Michael Hardie Boys, the Governor-General of New Zealand, declare the first and second parcels of land described in the Schedule to be taken for road and for severance area respectively and to vest in The Hastings District Council on the 14th day after the date of publication of the Proclamation in the New Zealand Gazette.

Hawke’s Bay Land District

First, 96 square metres, being part Lot 4, D.P. 2848; shown marked “B” on S.O. 10548.

Second, 84 square metres, being part Lot 4, D.P. 2848; shown marked “E” on S.O. 10548.
S.O. 10548 is held in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Napier.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 23rd day of May 1996.

Land Taken for Accessway in the City of Wellington

A PROCLAMATION

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1981, I, the Right Honourable Sir Michael Hardie Boys, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto, to be taken for accessway and to be vested in The Wellington City Council on the 14th day after publication of this Proclamation in the New Zealand Gazette.

Area 326 m²

Being an undivided 38/42 share of an estate in fee simple in Lot 270, D.P. 1877; shown marked “A” on S.O. Plan 37476, contained in part certificate of title 46B/396.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 15th day of May 1996.

Land Acquired for the Purposes of a State School in Waikato District

Pursuant to section 20 of the Public Works Act 1981, the Minister of Lands declares that, an agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto, subject to section 11 of the Waikato Raupatu Claims Settlement Act 1995, is hereby acquired for the purposes of a State school and shall vest in the Crown on the date of publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

South Auckland Land District

1012 square metres, more or less, being Lot 1, D.P. 34043, and being part of Allotment 313, Parish of Taupiri. All certificate of title, Volume 877, folio 71.
